Indigenous Institutes Approved Program Joint Annual Report  

The Indigenous Advanced Education and Skills Council (IAESC) and the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) in accordance with the IAESC Diploma Program Review Handbook and Approval of Education Programs Policy (2021), require an annual program report from each Indigenous Institute offering a standalone Diploma in Early Childhood Education. This report serves to provide an update on the program's progress and aids in enhancing the quality assurance processes of IAESC and CECE. It also supports internal quality assurance at the Indigenous Institute (II). The information from this request will be used to compile a report and will be shared with the Indigenous Institutes Quality Assessment Board, IAESC's Board of Directors, the College of Early Childhood Educators Committees and Council, and the respective II.  

IAESC and CECE have entered into an agreement to facilitate the annual report as a joint process. In the spring, the IAESC will formally notify the II of the annual report's submission deadline. We ask that the II report on the previous academic year and have their information submitted to the IAESC by August 31 on the IAESC portal. IAESC will share the report with the CECE.  

The request for information includes information related to: 

  • Modifications to the program, including to theory and practicum components of curriculum, methods of delivery, faculty, and program advisory committees. 

  • Enrolment and graduation numbers; 

  • Demand for the program (viability); 

  • Updates with regards to institutional or operational policies (admission, graduation, transfer credits, etc.); 

  • Any updates to the financial information provided for IAESC Standard 3: Financial, Operations, and Administrative Capacity; and 

  • Any other relevant updates regarding the program. 

The report is to be completed on the IAESC portal. To complete threport please log into the IAESC portal, enter your responses in the text box below the questions (answering all) AND retrieve the associated excel file (found by scrolling to the bottom of the text box page). Please complete the associated excel file sheets (1-5) in their entirety and save it to your computer.  You will then upload your completed spreadsheet using the “file upload” feature to have the completed annual program report package on the portal. We are asking that both forms be submitted by August 31 of the reporting year.
